John Woods 教授講演会
このたび日本学術振興会の助成（外国人研究者招へい［短期］S-17001）により来日される、シカゴ大学教授ジョン・ウッズ氏をお招きして特別講演会を開催いたします。ウッズ氏は15世紀の西アジア・中央アジア史に関する世界的な権威のお一人です。本講演会では、現在準備中のティムール朝支配層に関するご著書の内容の一部について、故安藤志郎氏へのオマージュを込めて、お話し下さる予定です。方法論的な洞察も含むご講演内容となると思われますので、ご多忙の折とは存じますが、様々なご関心の皆さまに幅広くご参加いただけますと幸いです。

Framing the Timurid Aristocratic Order

[要旨] Building on Shiro Ando’s work on the Mu`izz al-ansab, I will attempt to show how focusing on the family structure of the Timurid dynasty through an analysis of their genealogical records reveals important aspects of their social and political structure not easily available by the application more standard approaches.
